New Reports
What about us? The new report from
Christian Aid, spells out how the arbitrary criteria for debt relief
laid out by the G8 at Gleneagles must be expanded if more countries are
to stand a realistic chance of achieving their millennium development
goals - the internationally agreed targets for tackling poverty.
Special attention is given to Haiti and the Philippines, two of the
many countries the G8 left behind. Both have a history of debt and
poverty for which the countries' dictators and western creditors share
the blame.
